The story of Bonusan began in 1900, when Pieternella Maria Bogaerds started her practice as a phytotherapist in Numansdorp. Her son Hendrik, who inherited his mother’s passion for naturopathy, also started his own practice under the name H.L. Bogaerds. In 1966, he founded a new company: Bonusan — a name derived from BOgaerds and NUmansdorp. In 1968, a production facility was built, laying the foundation for what the company is today. In the 1980s, Hendrik’s son Flip expanded Bonusan further. Today, the company is still run by the third generation of the Bogaerds family, making it a true family business. Bonusan collaborates with more than 15,000 healthcare professionals across Europe and the knowledge institute Natura Foundation, developing innovative formulas that have proven effective in practice. Although the brand is known for the scientific substantiation of its products, it also recognizes that health is personal and that every individual has different needs.
