Nicorette is used to combat the strong nicotine cravings that people can experience when quitting smoking.Every smoker is different and has different needs when it comes to quitting. Some prefer to quit suddenly, while others can't and therefore need a different method. Nicorette gum offers two different methods for quitting:

The chewing gum comes in two strengths: 2 mg for smokers who smoke less than 20 cigarettes per day and 4 mg for heavier smokers.
Composition of Nicorette Kauwgom Menthol Mint 2 mg :
Active substance: 2 mg of chewing gum contains 2 mg of nicotine per chewing gum in the form of a resin complex.Excipients: gum base (contains BHT), xylitol (E967), peppermint oil, anhydrous sodium carbonate (E500), sodium bicarbonate (E500), acesulfame potassium (E950), levomenthol, light magnesium oxide (E530), menthol flavour 'Winterfresh', hypromellose (E464), sucralose (E955), polysorbate 80 (E433), pregelatinised starch, titanium dioxide (E171), carnauba wax (E903) and talc (E553b).
Usage of Nicorette Kauwgom Menthol Mint 2 mg :
You can use the gum as soon as the urge for a cigarette strikes. Chewing the gum helps support the body in managing the addiction and alleviates withdrawal symptoms.Chew the gum for about 10 seconds. Then hold the gum between your gum and cheek for a minute. Then chew for another 10 seconds. We recommend repeating this every half hour. This allows for a gradual release of nicotine.
You only notice the effects of nicotine after a few minutes; therefore, you shouldn't expect the instant gratification that comes with smoking. Avoid consuming acidic beverages like coffee or soft drinks for 15 minutes before and during chewing. These beverages interfere with nicotine absorption in the oral cavity.
Slow chewing promotes optimal absorption of nicotine through the oral mucosa.
Swallowing of saliva should therefore be kept to a minimum.
Do not use in case of:
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- You have a serious heart condition:
- A recent heart attack;
- Cardiac arrhythmias;
- A tight, painful feeling on the chest (angina pectoris);
- A so-called Prinzmetal angina.
- You have recently had a brain haemorrhage (stroke).
- You have an inflammation in the mouth, throat or esophagus
