Application of Metamucil Orange Suikervrij:
Metamucil Sugar-free is a remedy that helps with prolonged or recurrent constipation. In addition, it can be used in situations where an easy bowel movement with soft stools is desirable, such as after surgery on the rectum or anus, or for symptoms caused by haemorrhoids.Metamucil Sugar Free works by mixing with the intestinal contents and absorbing water. This creates a soft, non-irritating filling of the intestines, which stimulates bowel function and promotes bowel movement.
Composition of Metamucil Orange Suikervrij:
Each sachet of 5.8 grams contains:Ispaghula Husk Anhydricum 3.4 grams.
Other ingredients:
Anhydrous citric acid (E330), orange flavouring, aspartame, maltodextrin and sunset yellow FCF (E110).
Metamucil Orange Sugar Free is free from gluten.
Usage of Metamucil Orange Suikervrij:
Always use Metamucil Orange Sugar Free exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised.If you are in doubt about the correct use, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Instructions for use:
- Children under 6 years of age only on prescription from your doctor
- Over 12 years: Two to three sachets per day (divided into 1-3 intakes)
- 6-12 years: One to two sachets per day (divided into 1-2 intakes).
Method of use:
1. Place the contents of a sachet in a glass. Slowly fill the glass with cold water or other liquid.
2. Stir well and drink immediately.
3. Drink an extra glass of water after each dose.
Warning:
Do not use Metamucil Orange Sugar Free:
- if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine
- in case of sudden abdominal pain
- in case of narrowing - obstruction - of the intestine
- in case of trapped stools
- in case of phenylketonuria in children and pregnant women
- in children under 6 years of age, only on doctor's prescription
Diabetics:
Metamucil Orange Sugar Free can also be used by diabetics.
Patients with diabetes should only take these fibers under medical supervision, as
adjustment of diabetes medication may be necessary. Ispaghula husk can be used for this
ensure that glucose is absorbed slowly from the gastrointestinal tract after consuming a
meal. This may result in a less pronounced increase in glucose concentration in the blood,
which may potentially reduce the dosage of medication for the treatment of diabetes. Please read information leaflet before use
