Claims
Lamisil Spray belongs to the group of antifungal preparations. This product inhibits the growth of molds and yeasts and can even kill certain fungi.

One in three people regularly suffer from athlete's foot. Fungal infections occur not only on the foot but also elsewhere on the body. However, athlete's foot is the most common type.

Athlete's foot, commonly known as athlete's foot, is an unpleasant condition. It often causes a burning and itching sensation, and blisters and flakes develop on the skin.
Superficial fungal infections like athlete's foot are generally very treatable. Lamisil can treat various fungal infections and is applied to the site of the infection. For athlete's foot, apply between the toes once a day for one week.

How does athlete's foot develop?
Fungal infections are caused by fungi, as the name suggests, but can also be caused by yeasts.
Molds and yeasts can be transmitted via spores on towels or skin flakes on the floor. Fungal infections are generally contagious. Molds and yeasts thrive in warm and moist environments. Showers and locker rooms in sports facilities are a good example. Athletes who use these facilities are therefore at risk of contracting a fungal infection. Synthetic materials, such as athletic shoes, can also cause fungal infections, particularly athlete's foot. Synthetic materials create a warm and moist environment where a fungus thrives.

It's not just athletic people who can get it. Athlete's foot is contagious and can be transmitted anytime you walk around barefoot. It can also spread in the bathroom at home, in communal showers, or when sharing towels with others. Wearing extra-thick layers of clothing in winter or wearing tight-fitting clothing can make you feel extra warm and sweaty, allowing fungi and yeasts to develop quickly, potentially leading to a fungal infection.
Domestic and farm animals can also carry fungi and/or yeasts and contaminate their immediate environment.

What can you do to prevent athlete's foot?
- Dry your feet thoroughly after washing.
- Use a clean, dry towel regularly to prevent contamination.
- Wear clean cotton or wool socks every day.
- Wear flip-flops when using communal showers and changing rooms.

How does Lamisil work against athlete's foot?
Lamisil is known worldwide as a fast and effective treatment for athlete's foot and is a very successful medicine against fungal infections in over 50 countries worldwide.

Lamisil, with Terbinafine as the active ingredient, has a very short treatment duration of only 1 week compared to other commonly used substances such as Miconazole and Clotrimazole.

Immediately after applying the first treatment, the spray takes effect and healing begins.

Which fungal infections can Lamisil treat?
- Ringworm (Tinea corporis)
Ringworm consists of slow-growing, itchy, red, and scaly ring-shaped patches that can appear scattered over the body.

- Skin fungus (Cutaneous candidiasis)
Candida is a type of yeast that can cause a skin infection under certain conditions. These skin lesions often appear in sensitive areas such as the groin or under the breasts. Symptoms include itching, redness, and flaking.

- Pityriasis versicolor
The yeast that causes pityriasis versicolor is Malassezia furfur. An infection with this yeast usually occurs on the shoulders, upper torso, and upper arms. Symptoms consist of mildly itchy, slightly scaly patches. In people with a light tan, the patches are usually lighter than the rest of the skin, and in people with little to no sun exposure, the patches are usually light brown.

Lamisil Skin Spray 1% 10 mg/g inhibits the development of these yeasts and can kill them in some cases, so that healing can start immediately after the first application of the spray.

Composition of Lamisil Huidspray 1% 10 mg/g:

Active ingredient: terbinafine hydrochloride 10 mg/g
Excipients: Ethanol 96%, propylene glycol, cetomacrogol 1000,
purified water.

Usage of Lamisil Huidspray 1% 10 mg/g:

How often and how long should you use Lamisil Spray?

- Athlete's eczema (tinea pedis): once a day for one week.
- Ringworm (tinea corporis): 1 time per day for a week
- Pityriasis versicolor: 1 to 2 times a day for 1 week

Symptoms usually improve within a few days. Irregular use or premature discontinuation of the spray increases the risk of recurrence. If there is no improvement after two weeks, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Elders:
There are no indications that elderly people would need a different dosage or other
experience side effects than younger patients.

Children:
There is limited experience with the administration of Lamisil to the skin in children and
therefore use in this age group is not recommended.
