The Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF) molecule contains niacin (vitamin B3) and the three amino acids glycine, glutamic acid, and cysteine. It is also often referred to as polynicotinate. The discovery of GTF's role in health is increasingly proving to be invaluable. The molecule assists insulin in its role of enabling cells to absorb glucose, from which energy can be released and the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol.GTF potentiates insulin activity and plays a role in glucose metabolism and the production and storage of glycogen (energy).
