The active ingredient is codeine phosphate.
5 ml contains 1.95 mg of codeine (hydrate).
Other ingredients (excipients) include sodium benzoate; 5 ml contains 1.4 g of honey, 1.35 g of sucrose, 0.7 g of glucose.

Usage of Natterman Bronchicum Extra Sterk Stroop:

The recommended dosage for adults is 20 ml at a time, up to a maximum of 4 times a day.

For children aged 12 to 18 years: 20 ml at a time, up to a maximum of 4 times a day. Natterman Bronchicum Extra Strong is not recommended for use in children aged 12 to 18 years with impaired respiratory function.

Do not use in:
• Children under 12 years of age.
• If you know that you convert codeine to morphine very rapidly.
• If you are breastfeeding.
• If you have been found to be sensitive to any of the components of this medicine.
• If you have reduced respiratory reserve, which may be recognized by episodic breathlessness due to muscle spasm and swelling of the mucous membrane of the airways, often accompanied by coughing and expectoration of mucus (asthma (bronchiale)), or if you have a lung condition resulting from loss of elasticity of lung tissue accompanied by (severe) shortness of breath (emphysema).
• If your liver is not functioning properly.
• If you have damage or injury to your skull (intracranial lesion).
