Radical-Check® contains 10 urine test strips to determine the level of MDA (malondialdehyde) in human urine. MDA is a byproduct produced in the body when free radicals oxidize fats. Free radicals are essential for the body's functioning. They are used to metabolize glucose and fats and help fight viruses and bacteria. Free radicals also play a role in destroying abnormal cells. However, a (persistently) elevated level of free radicals is associated with various health complaints and problems. Usage of Testjezelf.nu Vrije Radicalen Test:
Radicalen-Check® can provide an indication of the level of free radicals by measuring MDA in urine. After immersing the strip in the urine, the result can be determined after 3 minutes using the extended color scale. This allows differentiation between minimal, low, medium, or high levels of oxidative stress. Using first-morning urine is recommended as it guarantees the most accurate determination. In the case of (significantly) elevated MDA levels, a healthier lifestyle (diet with antioxidant-rich foods and more exercise) can be considered.
