Application of Leidapharm Anti-Worm Mebendazol 100 mg:
For worm infections caused by pinworms, roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms. This anthelmintic kills larvae, eggs, and worms.Ingredients of Leidapharm Anti-Worm Mebendazol 100 mg:
Mebendazole, maize starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, gelatin, glycerol (E422), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium starch glycolate, sodium saccharin (E954), crospocidone (E202), colloidal silicon dioxide (E551), magnesium stearate (E470b).Usage of Leidapharm Anti-Worm Mebendazol 100 mg:
Crush the tablet before giving it to a young child. Always supervise a child while they are taking this medicine. You may take this medicine with a meal, but this is not necessary. You can chew the tablets or swallow them whole with some water or another liquid.Pinworms: all family members must be treated simultaneously and must repeat this treatment after 2 weeks. This is necessary for effective treatment: the first dose kills all the worms, but not their eggs, which can cause a new infection. If no cure is achieved, the entire course of treatment must be repeated.
Roundworms, whipworms, hookworms, and mixed infections: take 1 tablet morning and evening for 3 days; if complete cure is not achieved after 3 weeks, the treatment should be repeated.
This medicine is not intended to be taken for a long period.
Warnings:
Contact your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine in children under 2 years of age.
Do not give mebendazole to children under 2 years of age without first consulting your doctor or pharmacist, as there is limited experience with the use of this medicine in young children.
If the worm infection is accompanied by diarrhea, contact a doctor.
If you are also using metronidazole.
Combination of these products can lead to Stevens-Johnson syndrome (severe hypersensitivity reaction with (high) fever, red spots on the skin, joint pain and/or eye inflammation) or toxic epidermal necrolysis (severe, sudden (hypersensitivity) reaction, accompanied by fever and blisters on the skin/skin peeling).
Your doctor will tell you whether you can use this medicine if you are pregnant.
This depends on the severity of the infection and how far along you are in your pregnancy.
