Product information for Springfield Brain Bow Fosfolipidencomplex:

Application of Springfield Brain Bow Fosfolipidencomplex:

Brain Bow with phosphatidylserine, phosphatidic acid and other phospholipids of plant origin.

Phospholipids are the building blocks of cell membranes. Phospholipids are composed of glycerol, to which fatty acids are attached, and a phosphate group with an amino acid (e.g., serine), an amine, or an amino alcohol attached. This creates a head-shaped, water-soluble portion and a tail-shaped, fat-soluble portion. The group of phospholipids includes phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidic acid, and phosphatidylserine. Among the phospholipids, phosphatidylserine occupies a special position. It is the only phospholipid that—in healthy cells—occurs exclusively on the inner side of the cell membrane. This is due to its specific role.

Complex from Soy: Natural and Safe
Phospholipids are found in our diet in seeds, such as soybeans, but also in eggs, primarily as lecithin. Phosphatidylserine intake has declined over the past twenty years. Phosphatidylserine is found in small amounts in organ meats and oily fish. Due to potential contamination of animal products, a plant-based form is now preferred. Soy is a good source of phosphatidylserine. When phosphatidylserine is processed and concentrated into a complex with phosphatidic acid and other phospholipids (as also naturally found in soybeans), its absorption into the body is improved. Due to the special processing, phosphatidylserine becomes highly concentrated. Consuming large amounts of soy does not provide the same levels of phosphatidylserine as a supplement. The safety of phosphatidylserine from soy (600 mg per day) has been studied and found to be safe.
