Vega Omega 3 is a plant-based omega 3 with no less than 250mg of DHA per softgel. Because the algae oil is sourced directly, it is pure and free from heavy metals (such as mercury), dioxins, and PCBs, such as those commonly found in fish. Since we produce algae oil from cultivated algae in a controlled environment, the risk of disruption and/or damage to the ecosystem is minimal.
