Calcium citrate in capsules is rarely produced. The reason for this is that for every 150 mg of elemental calcium, such as in Proviform calcium citrate capsules, over 700 mg of calcium citrate is required. To increase the amount of elemental calcium, tablets are manufactured. These are often large and not always easy for everyone to swallow. Therefore, Proviform offers calcium citrate in both capsule and tablet form. The capsules have the advantage of being easy to swallow and containing only rice extract as an excipient. Additionally, vegetarian pullulan capsules are used, which provide extra protection to the ingredients. Proviform Calcium Citrate contains 5 mcg of natural Vitamin D3 per capsule for good calcium absorption.
