Application of Teva Mebendazol 100 mg:
Mebendazol Teva 100 mg belongs to the group of so-called anthelmintics (= wormicides). It is effective against most worm species found in the Netherlands.This medicine is intended for patients with worm infections caused by arthropods, roundworms, whipworms, hookworms and tapeworms.
Ingredients of Teva Mebendazol 100 mg:
The active ingredient is mebendazole. Each tablet contains 100 mg mebendazole.The other ingredients are: maize starch, sodium lauryl sulphate, gelatine, glycerol (E422), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium starch glycolate, saccharin sodium (E954), crospovidone (E1202), colloidal silicon oxide (E551) and magnesium stearate (E470b).
Use of Teva Mebendazol 100 mg:
When taking Mebendazole Teva 100 mg, follow your doctor's advice carefully. If indoubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dosage is:
Infections with grubs:
1 tablet and 1 tablet again after 14 days; repeat every 14 days if necessary.
Infections with roundworms, hookworms and whipworms:
1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening for 3 consecutive days. If after 3 weeks no
complete cure is obtained, the treatment should be repeated.
Infections with tapeworms:
3 tablets twice a day for 3 days.
The tablets should be taken with plenty of water (half a glass).
Also be aware that infection can spread. Therefore, think extra about hygiene and treat all family members with it. Please read information leaflet before use
