The "Super-enzyme" preparation is a unique combination of an enzyme and herbal complex that works in two phases: the first layer of the tablet dissolves in the (acidic) environment of the stomach and contains, in addition to the enzymes pepsin, betaine (a component of gastric juice), and lactase (which is necessary for the digestion of lactose), important herbal extracts that soothe the stomach. The second layer dissolves only in the alkaline environment of the small intestine, thereby activating these enzymes precisely where they are needed.Composition of KAL Super Enzymes:
