Application of Sanofi Dulcolax Bisacodyl 5 mg:
Dulcolax is a laxative used for difficult bowel movements, also known as constipation. The active ingredient in Dulcolax irritates the intestinal mucosa. This accelerates bowel movements, propelling the contents of the intestines forward. Dulcolax enteric-coated tablets produce soft stools 6 to 12 hours after ingestion.For prolonged or recurring constipation, you can use Dulcolax for a few days. Dulcolax is also used in preparation for medical examinations (e.g. X-rays), before and after surgery, and in cases where facilitation of bowel movements is necessary.
Each enteric-coated tablet has a protective coating that is resistant to stomach acid. As a result, the tablet only disintegrates in the large intestine and only starts working there.
Composition of Sanofi Dulcolax Bisacodyl 5 mg:
Each tablet contains:Bisacodyl 5 mg
Ingredients of Sanofi Dulcolax Bisacodyl 5 mg:
Bisacodyl, lactose, dried corn starch, soluble starch, glycerol, magnesium stearate, sucrose (saccharose), talc, acacia, titanium dioxide (E171), methacrylic acid methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1) and methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:2), castor oil, macrogol 6000, yellow iron oxide (E172), shellac (E904), white beeswax (E901), carnauba wax (E903).Usage of Sanofi Dulcolax Bisacodyl 5 mg:
Adults and children from 10 years: 1 - 2 tablets per day.Children aged 4 - 10 years: 1 tablet per day.
Method of administration: swallow the entire tablet with water.
Do not break or chew.
Warning:
Must not be used by children under 2 years of age.
You must not use Dulcolax at the same time as water pills (diuretics) or corticosteroids.

Do not take Dulcolax at the same time as milk, antacids, or proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole). These medications can lower the acidity in the upper part of the stomach and intestines. As a result, the protective coating of Dulcolax may dissolve too soon, causing the medication to work less effectively or in an undesirable location.
