L-tryptophan is considered an essential amino acid, meaning the body cannot produce it from other amino acids and is completely dependent on food to meet its daily needs.Tryptophan is the precursor of niacin (vitamin B3), 5-HTP (5-HydroxyTryptophan), the neurotransmitter serotonin, and the hormone melatonin. It can cross the blood-brain barrier, but is susceptible to competition from other amino acids. Therefore, a tryptophan supplement should preferably be taken on an empty stomach, separately from other amino acids.

Usage of Vitals L-Tryptofaan 400 mg:
