Application of Pharma Nord Bio-Marine:
Bio-Marine soft gelatin capsules each contain 500 mg of fish oil, consisting of 185 mg EPA, 115 mg DHA, and 25 mg Omega-3 fatty acids. The Omega-3 is primarily in the form of easily absorbed free fatty acids. The fish oil is concentrated, so you receive a reasonably large amount of Omega-3 in a relatively small capsule. The highly pure fish oil is purified using a special process and remains well below the permitted contamination limit. Bio-Marine is processed in an oxygen-free environment and has an extremely low peroxidation rate because the oil is effectively protected against oxidation. Bio-Marine is enriched with the two homocysteine-lowering B vitamins, folate and B12.Free fatty acids in Bio-Marine
Omega-3 fatty acids occur naturally in the form of triglycerides, which must be broken down into free fatty acids before they can be absorbed through the digestive tract. This process depends on the digestive enzyme lipase. The omega-3 fatty acids in Bio-Marine are already in the form of free fatty acids and can therefore be absorbed directly, even by people with reduced lipid absorption.
Because the oil is in the form of free fatty acids, you may experience a burning sensation on your tongue when you bite into the capsule. Therefore, it is recommended to swallow the capsule whole. The free fatty acids and added B vitamins may also give the product an odor, even though the oil is fresh and clean.
