Application of Pharma Nord Bio-Marine:
Bio-Marine's soft gelatin capsules each contain 500 mg of fish oil, consisting of 185 mg of EPA, 115 mg of DHA, and 25 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids. The Omega-3 is predominantly in the form of easily absorbable free fatty acids. The fish oil is concentrated, ensuring you receive a reasonably large amount of Omega-3 in a relatively small capsule. The very pure fish oil has been purified using a special process and remains well below the permitted contamination limit. Bio-Marine is absorbed in an oxygen-free environment and has an extremely low peroxidation rate because the oil is effectively protected against oxidation. Omega-3 fatty acids occur in nature in the form of triglycerides, which must be broken down into 'free' fatty acids before they can be absorbed through the digestive tract. This process depends on the digestive enzyme lipase. The Omega-3 fatty acids in Bio-Marine are already in the form of free fatty acids and can therefore be absorbed directly, even by people with a reduced ability to absorb lipids.
Because the oil is in the form of free fatty acids, you may experience a burning sensation on your tongue if you bite through the capsule. It is therefore recommended to swallow the capsule whole. The free fatty acids and added B vitamins may also give the product an odor, despite the fact that the oil is fresh and clean.
Bio-Marine is an excellent supplement for anyone who, for whatever reason, eats little or no fish in the amounts recommended by health authorities, and for whom extra pure and easily absorbed fish oil is important.
What else is in Bio-Marine?
In addition to Omega-3 fatty acids, Bio-Marine contains folate and Vitamin B12. Both vitamins support Omega-3 fatty acids for the maintenance of normal homocysteine metabolism. Folate further contributes to a normally functioning immune system, normal psychological functioning, and normal blood formation. Furthermore, folate plays a role in the process of cell division and supports normal tissue growth of the fetus during pregnancy.

- of which EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) 185 mg
- Warvan DHA (Docosahexaenzur) 115 mg
The total amount of EPA+DHA is 300 mg per capsule.
Vitamin B9 (folate) 100 mcg
