Prim-Omega meets the need for essential fatty acids; fatty acids that the body cannot produce and must therefore obtain from food. Prim-Omega offers a carefully balanced combination of a highly concentrated fish oil preparation (65% EPA and DHA) and a GLA concentrate from two rich plant-based GLA sources: evening primrose and borage. Essential fatty acids in the proper balance are of great importance for physical and mental health. As components of phospholipids in the cell membrane, they support the structure and function of all body cells. They support the transport of substances across the cell membrane and are involved in nerve conduction. These fatty acids are also used for the production of eicosanoids; local signaling molecules that, among other things, promote the immune system.
