Biological Heilmittel Heel GmbH was founded in 1936 and is the world's largest producer of homeopathic combination medicines, which are available in more than 60 countries.
Heel has been active in the Netherlands since 1994.

The Heel drugs are based on Homotoxicology. This is the teaching of the effects of toxic substances on the human organism. Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, the founder of Heel, has developed Homotoxicology. He introduced his own definition of illness and health.
He described illness as a progressive process and not just a combination of clinical factors. The Dr. Reckeweg designed Disease Evaluation Table visualizes this process and is also an evaluation tool.
