Monki Organic nut butters are produced by Horizon Natuurvoeding BV. Horizon was founded in 1978 and specializes in the production of nut butters and the import / wholesale of nuts, tropical fruits and seeds from organic cultivation. In addition to sales on the important Dutch home market, exports take place to a large number of European countries.

We import almost all organic nuts and seeds ourselves. often the raw materials come from our own projects or from projects with which we have a close cooperation. For example, the hazelnuts come from the Good Food project in Turkey.
Horizon is one of the initiators of the Good Food Foundation, a foundation that sets up, stimulates and manages organic farming projects.
The range of Monki organic nut butters consists of 14 types. In addition to the consumer packaging of 330 grams for all nut butters and an extra packaging of 650 grams for some other pastes, we also supply in bulk packaging of 3 and 10 kg respectively. The production process usually comprises the following steps: roasting, possibly mixing, grinding and filling.
Control takes place in accordance with Regulation (EC) 834/2007. The Monki organic nut butters have the EKO brand, issued by Skal in the Netherlands.
