Virgin cold-pressed organic coconut oil is a natural, plant-based product pressed from fresh coconut flesh. This delightfully coconut-scented oil is made up of approximately 50% lauric acid, which does not raise cholesterol (LDL) levels.It contains almost exclusively healthy fats that the body can efficiently convert into energy and therefore doesn't store as fat. Coconut oil is stable at high temperatures, making it ideal for frying, stir-frying, and baking. It can also be used cold as a spread. It can be mixed with olive oil and sesame oil, for example. Some sediment and color variations are possible, but natural.
