Application of HeltiQ Perineumkompres Koud/Warm:
HeltiQ Perineum Compress Cold/Warm is a specially shaped compress suitable for use in the area between the vagina and the anus (perineum). The compress can be applied either cold or warm, depending on need. The perineum compress is reusable and comes with two soft, washable covers, ensuring comfortable and long-lasting use. The package contains two separate cold/warm compresses, allowing for alternating and continuous cooling or heating.Cold use: It is particularly suitable for reducing swelling and bruising in the first 24-48 hours after childbirth or surgery. Cold therapy constricts blood vessels, which can help stop bleeding from minor perineal wounds. Additionally, the cold can relieve irritation and a burning sensation, for example, resulting from birth trauma. The cold compress can also provide relief for complaints such as itchy stitches or hemorrhoids.
Hot use: It is primarily aimed at relieving perianal edema and pain. Heat therapy stimulates local blood circulation and can support the healing of perineal tears or episiotomy wounds. In addition, heat helps relax the muscles, which can have a positive effect on recovery.

Usage of HeltiQ Perineumkompres Koud/Warm:
For both hot and cold use, the compress must be slid into the cover before use.Cold application: Place the product in the freezer for at least 1 hour (at -18 °C).
Hot application:
1. Place the product flat in the microwave.
2. Heat for 50 seconds at 500 W.
3. Repeat the heating process 2 to 3 times and adjust the heating time if necessary until the desired temperature is reached.
Pan: Place the compress in a pan with plenty of water at at least 80 °C for 120 seconds. Heating with boiling water (more than 80 °C) must not last longer than 5 minutes.
Washing instructions: For optimal hygiene, it is recommended to wash the cover by hand.
Storage advice: Store the product in the refrigerator or freezer after each use, or in a cool, dry place.
Warnings:
Never place the compress directly on the skin, as this can cause frostbite or burns.
- For external use only, not for ingestion.
If the compress is damaged and the liquid from the compress comes into contact with the eyes or skin, rinse immediately with clean water.
If the compress is punctured or opened and the solution is accidentally swallowed, drink plenty of water immediately.
- Do not puncture the compress; avoid sharp and heavy objects to prevent damage.
- Do not hit the packaging or stand on it.
- Do not use on injuries or sprains within 24 hours of their occurrence (when inflammatory fluid is still present).
- Keep this packaging carefully for the instructions for use, the lot number, the expiry date and other relevant product information.
- Do not use in patients with a sensory impairment.

Do not use cold with:
- Poor blood circulation in the perineum (cyanosis, numbness, cold skin).
- Chronic perineal inflammation or deep purulent lesions.
- Cold allergy or an allergy to the material (nylon).
- History of cold-induced urticaria.
- Hypothermia or circulatory disorders, including Raynaud's disease.
Do not use hot with:
- Acute perineal injury, inflammation with redness/swelling/warmth/pain.
- Open wounds, ulcers, or purulent infection in the perineal area.
- Hemorrhagic conditions or use of anticoagulants.
- Reduced skin temperature sensitivity (e.g. diabetic neuropathy).
- Severe cardiovascular disease or malignant tumors.
Suitable for children from two years old.
