Application of Swiss Point of Care Zelftest M-Albu-Check:
Albumin is normally present in the urine in very small amounts or is undetectable. A high albumin level indicates a dysfunction of the kidneys' filtering function. Glucose or triglyceride concentration (fat) and a history of diabetes or hypertension are factors that promote the urinary excretion of albumin. The M-Albu-Check-1 strip test is a rapid immunochromatographic test to qualitatively determine albumin in the urine. It is possible to detect abnormal albumin concentrations in the urine in less than 10 minutes.What is this medicine used for:
Rapid self-test for detection of albumin in urine (kidney failure)
Usage of Swiss Point of Care Zelftest M-Albu-Check:
Each box contains the material needed to perform one test:- 1 sealed aluminium pouch containing 1 test strip and 1 sachet of desiccant
Open the aluminum pouch only when you are ready to perform the test. The desiccant must not be used.
1 plastic cup for collecting the urine sample
- 1 package leaflet
Required but not included:
- Stopwatch
Instructions for use
1. Collect a small amount of urine in the supplied plastic cup (urine sample height: between 1 cm and 1.5 cm in the cup).
2. Tear the protective pouch (from the notch) and remove only the strip, holding it by the handle end. Discard the small pouch.
3. Dip the strip vertically into the cup with your urine sample and place it in the designated notch for 5 to 10 seconds. NB: The urine level must not be higher than the horizontal blue line on the strip below the small arrows.
4. Place the strip horizontally on a flat, dry surface and allow the reaction to take place. Read the
Result ready after 5 to 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 15 minutes.
