Reducose® is a patented, standardized extract of the leaf of the White Mulberry* (Morus alba), specially developed to support the processing of carbohydrates in the body. The extract is rich in 1-deoxynojirimycine (DNJ).What is 1 Deoxynojirimycin (DNJ)?
DNJ is a natural compound that occurs naturally in the leaf of the White Mulberry. Thanks to its structure, DNJ can inhibit the action of the enzyme ?-glucosidase. This enzyme plays a key role in the breakdown of complex carbohydrates in the small intestine into simple sugars that are absorbed into the bloodstream.
Due to this inhibition, carbohydrates are broken down and absorbed more slowly, resulting in a less pronounced postprandial (after a meal) rise in blood glucose. This effect prevents spikes in blood sugar levels and contributes to a more stable glucose level after meals.
In addition to Reducose® (250 mg, standardized to 5% DNJ), Mulberose also contains Zinc, Chromium, and Biotin. This combination supports normal glucose metabolism and helps maintain a healthy metabolic balance.
