What is this medicine used for
The treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with muscle and joint injuries, such as sports injuries.
Diclofenac Linn 2.32% extra strong, gel is only intended for use on the skin.
Composition of Linn Diclofenac Gel Extra Sterk:
Active substances: The active substance in this medicine is diclofenac diethylamine. 1 gram of gel contains 23.2 mg (2.32%) diclofenac diethylamine, which corresponds to 20 mg diclofenac sodiumHulpstoffen: butylhydroxytolueen, carbomeer, cocoylcaprylocapraat, diethylamine, isopropylalcohol, vloeibare paraffine, macrogolcetostearylether, oleylalcohol,
propylene glycol, perfume and purified water.
Usage of Linn Diclofenac Gel Extra Sterk:
For cutaneous use only. Patients should contact a physician if symptoms persist or worsen 7 days after starting treatment.Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age
Diclofenac Linn 2.32% extra strength gel is applied to the painful or inflamed area twice a day and rubbed gently into the skin. The amount of gel depends on the size of the affected area to be treated: 2-4 g Diclofenac Linn 2.32% extra strength gel (5-10 cm gel) is sufficient to treat an area of 400-800 cm². The maximum daily dose is 8 grams of gel. After application, hands should be wiped with a paper towel or a damp cloth and then washed, unless this is the area to be treated. The paper towel or damp cloth should be thrown away after use. The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the clinical response. Treatment with gel for muscle and joint injuries should not last longer than 14 days, unless recommended by a doctor.
Elderly
The same dosage as for adults can be used.
Method of use
1. Before first use: remove the seal using the dot on the
back of the screw cap.
2. Gently massage the gel into the skin on the painful or swollen area. You may feel a slight cooling sensation
feeling experienced when the gel is massaged in.
3. Wipe excess gel from hands with absorbent paper (e.g. paper towel) or a damp cloth and then wash hands to avoid accidental contact with mouth or eyes, unless your hands are the area being treated. The absorbent paper or damp cloth should be thrown away in the bin after use. Please read information leaflet before use
