Application of Mattisson Vegan Omega 3 Algenolie 1200 mg:
Algae are microscopic plants, at the very bottom of the food chain, and the primary source of the omega-3 fatty acid DHA. Algae produce omega-3 fatty acids themselves and feed on oily fish like herring and sardines, making them rich in omega-3.Vegan Algal Oil is an Omega-3 supplement made from sustainably farmed algae. The algae fermentation process takes place in a closed, clean environment. This algae oil is therefore free from contamination.
This liquid algae oil contains 1200 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per 5 ml, of which 900 mg are DHA and 300 mg are EPA, both in their natural triglyceride form. This means the fatty acid chains remain intact, unlike some fish oils, which are chemically converted into ethyl esters. This process, which increases the omega-3 fatty acid concentration, removes the fatty acids from their original triglyceride form and binds them to ethanol, forming ethyl esters. Unfortunately, the body absorbs this form less efficiently and oxidizes more quickly than the natural form.
What are EPA & DHA?
EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids that contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure (with a daily intake of 3 grams of EPA and DHA, do not exceed 5 grams combined). EPA and DHA also have a beneficial effect on the heart (with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA). Furthermore, DHA is beneficial for the brain and vision (with a daily intake of 250 mg).

TOTOX value Algal oil:
The TOTOX value (total oxidation value) indicates the degree of fatty acid oxidation. This value has nothing to do with spoilage, but rather with the age of the oil. As the oil ages, the TOTOX value increases. The European guideline sets a maximum TOTOX value of 26. Our algae oil has a TOTOX value of <6.
The way in which people react to the TOTOX value can vary from person to person: some people experience no symptoms at all with a high TOTOX value, while others experience burping at a low TOTOX value.
Some brands use chemicals to reduce and maintain the TOTOX value of algae or fish oils. We don't use these chemicals in our capsules.

Algal Omega3to1® (DHA and EPA rich oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp.), avocado oil, sweet orange essential oil, antioxidants (mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract, ascorbyl palmitate).Usage of Mattisson Vegan Omega 3 Algenolie 1200 mg:
Take 5 ml once a day (from 7 years of age), unless otherwise advised by your health professional.Preferably take during or after a meal with sufficient water.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Children from 1 to 6 years: take 2.5 ml once a day.
During pregnancy or breastfeeding, maximum 1.5 ml.
Keep refrigerated after opening.
