Product information for Porto Muinos Nori Vlokken Biologisch:

Application of Porto Muinos Nori Vlokken Biologisch:

The thallus (branch with leaves) is leaf-shaped with ragged, broad (up to 20 cm in diameter) but thin leaves (only one cell layer thick). These vary in length from 5 to as much as 45 cm. The seaweed resembles an elastic latex sheet; it is irregular in shape and thin but sturdy. It has a rainbow-colored appearance. The seaweed is attached to the substrate in the center. The seaweed can withstand periods of drought and resumes growth when wet.

Nori is a red algae and a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals, and contains little sodium.

Did you know that Nori is traditionally considered a delicacy in Wales called "Welsh laverbread"? That is actually puréed Nori that has been cooked beforehand, so it has nothing to do with bread.

But did you also know that Nori means "ceremony," "teaching," and/or "rituals" in Japanese? Nori is also a derivative name, for example, from the name Norachiki. Nori is also the word for seaweed.

Origin: Seaweed cultivated in the Northwest Pacific Ocean.
Taste: Sweet with a lightly smoky, meaty, or olive-like flavor. It also bears some resemblance to dried mushroom.

Ingredients of Porto Muinos Nori Vlokken Biologisch:

Dried seaweed (Porphyra spp Porphyra is the Greek word for 'purple').
*= Of biological origin

Allergens:
The seaweed may contain traces of molluscs, crustaceans, and fish, and may contain small natural materials from the sea. The white color that may appear on the seaweed comes from the salt in the seaweed and ensures natural preservation.

Usage of Porto Muinos Nori Vlokken Biologisch:

For daily use, the recommended maximum dosage is approximately 5 grams of dried seaweed per day.

Soak the Nori in sufficient water for 5 minutes, boil it for 15 minutes, or add it to the cooking liquid of your vegetables, rice, or pasta. Nori expands sixfold in volume. You can sprinkle dried Nori flakes over your dishes, for example, over salads. You can fry or roast them as a snack or use them as a seasoning with meat and fish dishes. It is also used in soups, sauces, scrambled eggs, croquettes, pies or pastries, stews, etc. Nori is also consumed as tea.
