Perfect Health Triple Zinc 25 mg contains the three most absorbable organic forms of zinc, namely zinc methionine, zinc bisglycinate, and zinc citrate, and is supplemented with copper for balance. Zinc and copper are antagonists. This means that a high intake of zinc can lead to a low copper status, which is undesirable.Zinc methionine, unlike classic zinc preparations, is absorbed immediately via specific receptors at the beginning of the small intestine. The presence of the amino acid methionine ensures excellent absorption. Because methionine is best absorbed by the body, zinc is quickly available in the bloodstream. Zinc methionine is also a very stable compound and virtually insensitive to other food components present in the gastrointestinal tract, so it can be taken at any time of the day.
