Black and green tea are made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Unlike fermented black tea, green tea leaves are steamed. This preserves the polyphenols (catechins).Green tea contains the highest percentage of polyphenols of all teas. These polyphenols consist of six different catechins. The most important catechins are epicatechin, epicatechin-3-gallate, epigallocatechin, and especially epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). EGCG is the most active polyphenol in green tea and the most studied. EGCG is the most complex catechin. The combination of EGCG with the other epicatechins creates a natural synergy.
EGCG-50+ is almost completely caffeine-free (one capsule contains less than 1 mg caffeine).
Composition of Springfield EGCG-50+ Groene Thee Extract:
Each vegetarian capsule contains:Green tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis) 200 mg
- standardized to a minimum of 95% polyphenols, 75% catechins [150 mg], 50% EGCG [100 mg]

Green tea extract, stabilizer (capsule: hypromellose), bulking agent (cellulose), anti-caking agent (magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide).Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Usage of Springfield EGCG-50+ Groene Thee Extract:
Take 1 vegetarian capsule 1 to 3 times daily, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare professional.Preferably take on an empty stomach. Do not take with food or milk (products), as this reduces the absorption of EGCG.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Warning:
Not recommended for children and pregnant women.
Do not take at the same time, but with an interval of at least 2-4 hours, with: Risperidone, Sunitinib and Folic acid (green tea reduces absorption).
Do not use if you are taking bortezomib (a medicine used to treat malignant disease)
Do not use in combination with methotrexate, cyclophosphamide or aciclovir (inhibits breakdown).
Use with caution in combination with anticoagulants (may enhance the effect) or with 5-fluorouracil (may increase absorption).
EGCG may increase the bioavailability of levodopa in the blood and brain by inhibiting its breakdown.
