A calcium deficiency can be a consequence of illness, but it can also develop gradually due to insufficient calcium in the diet or because the body consumes an unusually large amount of calcium. Supplementing with extra calcium can positively influence bone quality.Composition of Sandoz Calcium 500 mg:
Each effervescent tablet contains:Calcium carbonate 1250 mg
- corresponding to 500 mg calcium
Ingredients of Sandoz Calcium 500 mg:
Citric acid (E330), malic acid (E296), sodium bicarbonate (E500), sodium cyclamate (E952), sodium carbonate (E500), lemon flavouring (contains e.g. sorbitol (E420)), sodium saccharin (E954).Use of Sandoz Calcium 500 mg:
You take 1 tablet. In severe cases of calcium loss or deficiency, up to 4 Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg tablets may be required. Do not use for longer than 14 days without consulting a doctor. If more than 1 tablet is required per day, it is recommended to divide the daily dose over multiple doses.Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg tablet per day (500 mg
per day). Children aged 10 to 18 years: 2 Calcium Sandoz effervescent 500 mg tablets per
