Application of Vitakruid Quercetine 250:
Quercetin is a so-called bioflavonoid, a nutrient found in citrus fruits, onions, potatoes, and buckwheat, among other things. However, we are encountering a problem with the substance we previously referred to as vitamin P. During cooking, 70 to as much as 90 percent of quercetin disappears from our food.The 10 to 30 percent that subsequently reaches our digestive system encounters another bottleneck. After all, quercetin is a nutrient that binds with phytonutrients (antibodies), thereby hindering the absorption of quercetin. Due to the small amount of quercetin that ultimately enters the cell, supplementation is often recommended.
Fortunately, renowned nutrient producer Indena has found a solution to the naturally poor absorbability of quercetin. The developer limits the binding of quercetin to antibodies by mixing the bioflavonoid with phospholipids (natural building blocks of the cell). Due to the reduced binding with phytonutrients, fewer of those unhealthy antibodies end up in our cell nucleus. As a result, our cells become less contaminated.

The majority of quercetin products contain up to 500 mg of regular quercetin. A dosage of 250 mg per capsule therefore seems low.
