Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium. However, this can have a problematic effect when high-dose vitamin D supplementation (from 75 mcg) is required to achieve a specific health-promoting effect. The sunshine vitamin ensures increased calcium uptake but does not regulate where all that extra calcium ends up. As a result, unwanted calcium deposits can form in the kidneys and blood vessels. And this is where blood brother K2 enters the scene. This calcium distributor ensures that all the extra absorbed calcium ends up where it is functional: the bones.

In this product, Vitakruid has chosen sunflower oil as the carrier. Although olive oil is preferred for baking and frying, it is less suitable as a carrier for vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 settles in olive oil, which it does not do in sunflower oil. By using sunflower oil, a good distribution of vitamin K2 can be guaranteed throughout the entire bottle.
