Product information for Mucos Wobenzym N:

Application of Mucos Wobenzym N:

Enzymes play a role in virtually every process in our body. Our immune system and the body's own healing power are also heavily dependent on them. In a healthy human body, enzyme production and activity are generally sufficient. But what to do if a deficiency of essential enzymes is imminent?

Every second, thirty quadrillion chemical reactions take place in our bodies. Enzymes play a leading role in all these reactions. Without enzymes, there would be no metabolism, no breathing, no muscle movement, no growth, no sensory perception, no reproduction—in short: no life! Our immune system and the body's own healing power also depend on enzymes in their fight against infections, vascular disorders, autoimmune diseases, and so on.

What exactly is the role of enzymes in chemical reactions? Generally speaking, they function as 'biocatalysts'. That is to say, they activate and control the processes that take place in the body, such as combating and removing harmful substances. Furthermore, enzymes ensure that these reactions can take place at a relatively low temperature (37°C) and low acidity. Moreover, the task of an enzyme is very precise. As a rule, a type of enzyme—approximately 3,000 different types have already been identified—can only effect one type of reaction.

If a shortage looms...
We normally obtain all (types of) enzymes we need 'automatically'. Certain body cells build enzymes from the amino acids, vitamins, hormones, and other substances we ingest through our food. By eating fresh vegetables and fruit, we obtain ready-made enzymes. Enzymes are also extracted from some animal organs (such as the pancreas). In a normal, healthy human body, enzyme production and activity are generally sufficient. However, hereditary causes, an unbalanced diet, or a heavy burden on our body—such as inflammation, prolonged stress, undergoing radiotherapy, etc.—can deplete the body's enzyme reserves. In such cases, enzyme therapy can be beneficial: taking extra enzymes using single or combined preparations.

Ingredients of Mucos Wobenzym N:

Wobenzym N from Mucos is a combined enzyme preparation. It contains the plant enzymes bromelain (extracted from pineapple) and papain (from unripe papaya fruits), the natural pancreatic enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin, and the plant antioxidant rutoside.
