Green-lipped mussel oil is not ordinary fish oil. This product has been specifically developed to provide the rare fatty acids found exclusively in the New Zealand green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus): ETA (eicosatetraenoic acid) and furan fatty acids. The EPA and DHA dosage in this supplement has been deliberately kept low: this is not a high-dose omega-3 capsule, but a targeted supplement for those who specifically seek those unique fatty acids.The green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) is a mollusk found exclusively in the protected, crystal-clear waters of the Marlborough Sounds on the north coast of New Zealand. It is no ordinary mussel: this species filters unique microalgae from the water that are rarely found elsewhere in the world, and stores rare fatty acids in them that are not found in any other marine source.
The indigenous Maori people of New Zealand have been eating green-lipped mussels as part of their daily diet for centuries. Scientists noticed striking health differences between coastal-dwelling Maori communities, who regularly ate green-lipped mussels, compared to tribesmen living further inland. That observation was the starting point for decades of scientific research into the bioactive compounds of the green-lipped mussel.
Each softgel contains 50 mg of GlycOmega® green-lipped mussel oil. The oil is standardized to the complete fatty acid profile of the green-lipped mussel. Green-lipped mussel oil contains not just one or two active fatty acids, but a whole range, including components not found in any other supplement.

Usage of Kala Health Groenlipmosselolie Aspitol®:
You take 2 capsules twice daily for the first 4-6 weeks. Subsequently, you switch to 1 capsule twice daily, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare professional.Preferably take with a meal and plenty of water.
