Vitamins K and D are interrelated. They both play essential roles in maintaining healthy calcium metabolism, i.e., the absorption and utilization of calcium in the body.Vitamin D supports calcium absorption, but doesn't regulate where that extra calcium ends up. This is where vitamin K comes in. This calcium distributor helps ensure that the extra calcium actually ends up where it needs to be: in bones and teeth.
Joint supplementation of vitamin K and D can be important when calcium intake is high. It can also be helpful when supplementing with vitamin K is desirable. This is especially true with aging, as vitamin K absorption can change, with medication use, or in cases of obesity. A good vitamin K status is also closely related to healthy liver, stomach, and intestinal function.
Vitamins K and D are both fat-soluble vitamins and are better absorbed in the presence of (dietary) fat. Olive oil has been added to enhance absorption.
New Care K2 & D3 contains vitamin K2 in the form of MK-7 (menaquinone-7). MK-7 is derived from natto, a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. Vitamin K2 is also found in meat, eggs, and some cheeses and is produced by certain bacteria in our intestines. For vitamin D, the natural, biologically active form of vitamin D (vitamin D3) has been chosen, as it is also found in eggs, meat, and fish.
Composition of New Care Vitamine K2 & D3:
Each capsule contains:Vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) 45 mcg
Vitamine D3 (cholecalciferol) 10 mcg
Ingredients of New Care Vitamine K2 & D3:
Olive oil, capsule: bovine gelatin, glycerol and water, menaquinone (derived from fermented soy), cholecalciferol.Allergen information: contains soy.
This product is free from: sugar, gluten, yeast, lactose, colourings, flavourings and preservatives.
Usage of New Care Vitamine K2 & D3:
Take 1 capsule 1-2 times daily, unless otherwise advised by your health professional.Preferably take during a meal with plenty of water.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
