Application of Sanofi Dulcosoft Mild Laxeermiddel Macrogol Poeder:

Dulcosoft gently treats the symptoms of constipation and softens hard stools.

The active ingredient of Dulcosoft is macrogol 4000, an osmotic laxative. Macrogol 4000 is capable of binding water to a high degree. It serves as a carrier for fluid (water) and slows down the absorption of water from the intestine, leading to an increased amount of water in the large intestine. As a result, hard stools soften and the stool increases in volume. This leads to increased bowel movement and facilitates defecation. This provides a natural feeling of relief.
Macrogol 4000 has a purely physical mechanism of action: it is not absorbed by the body and is excreted unchanged.

Composition of Sanofi Dulcosoft Mild Laxeermiddel Macrogol Poeder:

Each sachet contains:
Macrogol 4000 10 grams

Usage of Sanofi Dulcosoft Mild Laxeermiddel Macrogol Poeder:

1-2 sachets per day dissolved in a liquid, preferably to be taken as a single dose in the morning.

Within the recommended dosage, the dose can be adjusted according to individual needs. It can be taken daily or every other day, up to a maximum of 2 sachets per day. The correct dosage is the lowest dose that results in regular, soft stools.

Do not use with:
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance.
- Severe inflammatory bowel diseases (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), abnormal dilation of the bowel.
- Perforation of the bowel or a risk of bowel perforation.
- Sudden obstruction of the intestine (ileus) or suspected intestinal obstruction.
- Abdominal pain of unknown cause.
