Plant sterols (also called phytosterols) are bioactive substances that occur naturally in the cell membranes of certain plants (such as nuts and soybeans). They are the plant counterparts of animal sterols (of which cholesterol is the most important). Due to similarities in molecular structure, they compete for cholesterol absorption in the intestine. There is also evidence that phytosterols have a beneficial effect on the excretion of cholesterol in the stool. Because of these health effects, phytosterols are a popular addition to various food products (such as diet margarines) as well as dietary supplements.✓Plant sterols contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels with a daily intake of at least 800 mg.
MorEPA Cholesterol contains fish oil rich in the unsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). To achieve a higher concentration, the EPA/DHA have been extracted from the oil and bound to an ethanol molecule for stability. These compounds are called ethyl esters.
✓EPA and DHA contribute to the normal functioning of the heart with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA/DHA.

Phytosterol ester oil (25 g plant sterols/100 g MorEPA Cholesterol), deep-sea fish oil concentrate (from anchovy, sardine, and mackerel), fish gelatin, olive oil (Olea europea L.), humectant: glycerol, artichoke extract (Cynara scolymus L.), stabilizer: yellow beeswax, coconut oil (Cocos nucifera L.), olive fruit extract (Olea europea L.), stabilizer: rapeseed lecithin, natural orange flavor, antioxidant: mix of rosemary- and tocopherol-rich extract.Usage of Minami Nutrition MorEPA Plantensterolen:
You take 2 softgels per day, unless otherwise advised by your healthcare professional.Preferably take with water with a meal.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Warning:
With added plant sterols. This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children (especially those under 5 years of age), and adolescents. This dietary supplement is not intended for people who do not need to control their blood cholesterol levels. Patients taking cholesterol-lowering medication should only use this product under medical supervision. Consumption of more than 3 grams of added plant sterols per day should be avoided. This is equivalent to 7 MorEPA Cholesterol softgels per day.
