It can also be used for incontinence, vomiting, heavy periods, or bedwetting in children.The Heltiq Underlay has a highly absorbent core and a moisture-wicking tissue layer. This distributes moisture evenly across the underlay, protecting the mattress from leaks.

Instructions for making up the maternity bedPlace a HeltiQ Mattress Protector widthwise on the mattress at the spot where your lower body rests on the mattress and pull the mattress protector around the mattress.
Place a fitted sheet over the mattress and the HeltiQ Mattress Protector.
Then place the two HeltiQ maternity mattresses next to each other on top of the fitted sheet where the lower body is on the mattress.
The underlays are used during home births and for checks by the midwife and maternity nurse during the postpartum period. In addition to HeltiQ Maternity Mattresses, the underlays can also be used as additional bed protection.
