Solgar Folate 1000 mcg (Folic acid, Vitamin B9, Vitamin Bc, Vitamin B11) as Metafolin® is the active form of folic acid and is recommended for pregnant women and women who wish to become pregnant.Folic acid supplementation increases the mother's folate status. A low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of spina bifida in the developing fetus. Folic acid contributes to the formation of red and white blood cells, contributes to normal cell division, helps with fatigue, and contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.
