These adventitious roots must be at least 12 years old before they can be harvested, as only then do they contain sufficient nutritional value. The plant owes its name to its characteristic fruits with hooked protrusions that resemble claws. This specific variety originates from South Africa.Devil's claw is known for its long history in traditional medicine and has gained popularity worldwide for its medicinal properties.
