Vitamin C 1000 Buffered contains 1000 mg of vitamin C per tablet. The vitamin C in this product is bound to calcium and is therefore particularly gentle on the stomach.Vitamin C is a component of numerous enzymes and is therefore essential for the functioning of many metabolic processes. As an important antioxidant, Vitamin C is necessary for cell protection and the fight against free radicals.
Foods rich in Vitamin C include: papaya, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, oranges, strawberries, bell peppers, grapefruit, and potatoes.
The body absorbs over 90% of a dose of Vitamin C up to 300 mg. At higher doses, the absorption rate decreases. Therefore, maximum absorption is achieved by distributing smaller doses throughout the day.
