Evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) is known for its beautiful yellow flowers and is native to North and South America. Evening primrose oil is a natural source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). The body can, in principle, produce GLA from (cis)linoleic acid. However, sometimes it can be beneficial to supplement this. Factors that can lead to an increased need include (too) high consumption of trans fatty acids, saturated fats, sugar, alcohol, and carbohydrates. Evening primrose oil helps with discomfort before and during menstruation. This Golden Naturals product also contains added biotin and vitamin B6. Biotin is important for the skin, and vitamin B6 is beneficial for hormone balance.Composition of Golden Naturals Teunisbloemolie 1300 mg:
Each capsule (= daily dose) contains:Evening primrose oil 1300 mg
of which:
- Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) 9% 117 mg
Vitamine B6 (pyridoxinehydrochloride) 0,21 mg
Biotin (D-Biotin) 7.5 mcg
Vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol, 30 IU) 10 mg

This product is free from: Egg, gluten-containing grains, lupine, milk, mustard, nuts, peanuts, crustaceans and molluscs, celery, sesame seeds, soy, sulphites, fish.
