Calcium ascorbate is the buffered, non-acidic form of vitamin C. This form of vitamin C is better tolerated by the stomach and intestines than ascorbic acid.Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin that contributes to the maintenance of the normal functioning of the immune system (including in athletes). It also helps protect cells from oxidative stress. It promotes iron absorption and plays an important role in collagen formation (for normal skin function) and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
