The sea buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides) is a plant that grows both in the desert and along the coastline, from Western Europe to Mongolia.The berries are a great source of vitamin C, with 15 times more vitamin C than oranges.
Sea buckthorn berries are primarily an exceptionally rich source of omega-7 fatty acids (also known as palmitoleic acid).
Sea buckthorn omega-7 also contains dozens of phytonutrients that nourish the skin and support digestive and internal skin health.
The berries contain a full spectrum of vitamin E, both tocopherols and tocotrienols.
Vitamin E is known as an antioxidant for the skin.
The phytosterols in omega-7, together with the omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids found in sea buckthorn, help to counteract skin aging.
They are believed to play an important role in protecting the body's cells from oxidation, physical and emotional temporary stress.
O-7 Superior contains cold-pressed sea buckthorn oil, obtained through CO2 extraction, which preserves its high quality.
