Pleurotus ostreatus, better known as the oyster mushroom, is a mushroom found worldwide in temperate and subtropical forests. It grows primarily on deciduous trees and is also common in European deciduous forests. Its shape resembles the shell of an oyster. Oyster mushrooms are easy to cultivate and can grow on various natural substrates, such as straw or wood.The oyster mushroom, along with button mushrooms and shiitake, is one of the most cultivated mushrooms in the world. Due to its mild flavor, it is widely used in both Asian and European cuisine.
Mycopower BIO Pleurotus Ostreatus is a vegetarian and gluten-free food supplement.
The extract is produced from Pleurotus mushroom powder using a natural extraction method, in which the polysaccharide content is standardized. Pleurotus contains, among others, polysaccharides, including the polysaccharide pleuran characteristic of this mushroom. The polysaccharide content of the extract is 30%.
