The Herxheimer reaction is caused by the death of the bacteria when a body detoxifies too quickly and more toxins are released than the body is able to excrete.Since the Herxheimer reaction can be severe and it is desirable to keep it under control, it is important to always start with the initial course.
6-week starter course:
Start with one drop in the morning and one drop in the afternoon. On day two, add one drop in the evening. Day three: 2 drops twice daily; day four: 3 drops twice daily; day five: 4 drops twice daily; and day six: 5 drops twice daily. After that, 5 drops three times daily.
Drink 2 liters of pure water and/or pure herbal tea, for example nettle tea, goldenrod, or elderflower.
Light 6-week course:
1st week 5 drops twice daily. Thereafter 5 drops three times daily.
Drink: 2 liters of pure water and/or pure herbal tea, for example nettle tea, goldenrod, or elderflower.
6-week course of medication:
1st week 5 drops twice daily. Thereafter 20 drops three times daily.
Drink: 2 liters of pure water and/or pure herbal tea, for example nettle tea, goldenrod, or elderflower.
Intensive 8-week course:
1st week 5 drops 3 times a day, 2nd and 3rd week gradually increase to 30 drops 3 times a day. 4th to 8th week increase even further to 40 drops 3 times a day (maximum 3 x 120 drops)

Safety
The use of Teasel is safe provided the recommended daily dose is adhered to. Use by pregnant women is currently discouraged due to the lack of sufficient research in pregnant women.
