Vertargil green loam or green clay is 100% composed of nature, unprocessed, and has been used since antiquity. Clay is a living, intelligent substance whose effects have never been replicated in a laboratory. The ancient Egyptians used clay from the Nile for wound care and mummification. Farmers traditionally treated the ailments of their pets and livestock with clay. It was often thanks to wild animals that places with healing earth were discovered. It was observed that injured animals would wallow in the mud at special places and then recover quickly.Green loam or green clay appears to be the most powerful and effective among the types of clay and is strongly cleansing. Green clay contains many minerals such as aluminum, iron, silicon, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. Residual traces of hydrogen, titanium, chlorine, phosphorus, carbon, manganese, and sulfur have been found in it.

Green clay maskGreen clay is excellent as a cleansing mask for normal to oily skin. A mask is very effective for pimples and blackheads. You can mix a mask yourself with the green clay powder.
Slowly pour the desired amount of clay into a bowl (not metal) containing an equal amount of water. Let this settle for some time without stirring so that the clay can absorb the water properly. Drain off the excess water, and the paste is ready for use. It is advisable to use purified or spring water, as tap water usually contains chlorine, which can adversely affect the performance of the clay.
Take 1 tablespoon of green clay and 2 tablespoons of hydrosol or water. Optionally, you can add essential oil. If so, mix it with a teaspoon of fatty plant oil before adding it to the clay. Apply the green clay paste generously to the face. The clay mass should be smooth and creamy, not too runny. The green clay paste will dry out. Leave the mask on for a maximum of 20 minutes. Remove the mask with warm water and damp compresses. The dried green clay paste is easiest to remove in the shower, as this also ensures the clay is rinsed away thoroughly.
Green clay for dry or sensitive skin
Due to the strong cleansing and drying effect of the clay, we advise adding extra plant oil or covering the mask with foil or compress cloths. This way, the mask is softer and gentler on the skin and does not dry out. After a maximum of 20 minutes, you can remove the mask with cotton pads or tissues and rinse with warm water.
Green clay pack and compress
Give your entire body a cleansing pack by applying the clay generously to your whole body. Let the clay dry for 20 minutes and remove it with a warm shower. A cold clay compress draws heat away from the skin and body. Ideal after training or sports, among other things!
Green clay as washing water
Clay is even suitable for skin types that cannot tolerate soap. Massage the clay into damp skin to thoroughly cleanse the pores. Then rinse thoroughly with water.
