Application of Healthypharm Laxeerdrank Lactulose 667 mg per ml:
This medicine contains a laxative called Lactulose. It makes stools softer and easier to pass by attracting water into the bowel. It is not absorbed into your body.This medicine is used to treat constipation (irregular bowel movements, hard and dry stools) and to soften the stools, for example:
✓if you have hemorrhoids,
✓if you have had surgery on your anus or colon
Composition of Healthypharm Laxeerdrank Lactulose 667 mg per ml:
Active ingredients: The syrup contains 500 mg lactulose per gram (50%)This corresponds to 667 mg lactulose per ml syrup.
Additives: The product may contain small amounts of other sugars, such as LACTOSE, galactose and fructose
Use of Healthypharm Laxeerdrank Lactulose 667 mg per ml:
Adults and adolescentsDaily starting dose: 15-45 ml (10-30 g lactulose)
Daily maintenance dose: 15-30 ml (10-20 g lactulose)
Children (7-14 years)
Daily starting dose: 15 ml (10 g lactulose)
Daily maintenance dose: 10-15 ml (7-10 g lactulose)
Children (1-6 years)
Daily starting dose: 5-10 ml (3-7 g lactulose)
Daily maintenance dose: 5-10 ml (3-7 g lactulose)
Children under 1 year
Daily starting dose: up to 5 ml (up to 3 grams of lactulose)
Daily maintenance dose: up to 5 ml (up to 3 grams of lactulose)
Use of laxatives in children, infants and babies should be done exceptionally and under medical supervision because it can affect the normal reflexes for defecation. Do not give this medicine to children under 14 years of age without consulting your doctor for a prescription and close supervision.
Method of use
The dose may be taken once a day, for example during breakfast, or divided into two doses.
Depending on your response to this medicine, the initial dose may be adjusted to the maintenance dose after a few days. Several (2-3) days of treatment may be needed before the effect of the treatment occurs.
