Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a mushroom that has been used in Asia for over 2,000 years. Reishi is one of the best-known and most widely used mushrooms.Ganoderma Lucidum is the Latin name and means 'shining skin.'
Reishi grows as a parasite on deciduous trees, but can also grow on dead tree trunks. The color of Reishi is red, and due to its sheen, it looks as if it is covered with a layer of varnish.
Difference between powder and extract
The difference between Reishi powder and extract lies in the way the mushroom is processed. Reishi powder is made from the fruiting body of the Reishi mushroom.
