Antifungal cream HTP Terbinafine HCl 10 mg/g contains the active substance terbinafine hydrochloride and belongs to the group of antifungal preparations. Antifungal cream HTP Terbinafine HCl 10 mg/g is used to treat patients with fungal and yeast infections of the skin.Composition of Healthypharm Antischimmelcrème Terbinafine HCl 10mg/g:
Each gram of cream contains:Terbinafine hydrochloride 10 mg
Ingredients of Healthypharm Antischimmelcrème Terbinafine HCl 10mg/g:
Excipients: sodium hydroxide (E524), benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate (E491), cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60 (E435), isopropyl myristate and purified water.Use of Healthypharm Antischimmelcrème Terbinafine HCl 10mg/g:
Adults and adolescents (12 years and older)Duration and frequency of treatment:
- Swimmer's eczema (tinea pedis): Once a day for 1 week.
The symptoms that may accompany swimmer's eczema are itching, redness and scaling between the toes, and on the soles of the feet. Sometimes fissures also develop (especially between the toes) and vesicles that secrete fluid may also appear. Usually, swimmer's eczema causes an unpleasant odor.
- Ringworm (tinea corporis): once a day for 1 week.
Ringworm consists of slowly growing, itchy, red and scaly ring-shaped spots, which may occur scattered over the body.
- Skin fungus (cutaneous candidiasis): Once daily for 1 to 2 weeks.
Candida is a type of yeast that can cause infection on the skin under certain conditions. Often the skin lesions are in warm, moist areas such as the groin or under the breasts. Symptoms include itching, redness and scaling.
- Pityriasis versicolor: 1 to 2 times a day for 2 weeks.
The yeast that causes pityriasis versicolor is Malassezia furfur. An infection with this yeast is usually located on the shoulders and upper torso and upper arms. The symptoms consist of little itchy and slightly scaly patches. In people who have had some sun tanning, the spots are usually lighter than the rest of the skin, and in people who have had little to no sun
the spots are usually light brown.
Usually improvement in symptoms occurs after a few days. Irregular use or stopping treatment prematurely increases the chance of the symptoms returning. If there is no improvement after 1 to 2 weeks, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Method of use:
The opening of the tube is sealed with aluminum. You can pierce the seal by pressing the inverted cap of the tube onto it with some force. Before applying cream, wash and dry the skin carefully. Apply just enough cream to the skin so that there is a thin layer of cream on the inflamed skin and a bit around it. Rub the cream in lightly. If the treated area is in a skin fold (under the breasts, between toes or fingers, in the groin or buttock), then, especially at night, the skin should be covered with a sterile gauze after rubbing in. Wash your hands afterwards, except if the area to be treated is on your hands.
Do not use if:
- You are allergic to one of the substances contained in this medicine. You can recognize allergies by, for example, red spots and bumps on the skin or itching.
